  8 November 2016, historic day for India, the day Modi was on all channels of TV, he was anywhere, everywhere and we were awestruck. We thought this is the best decision and we too will contribute and sacrifice in this endeavour. Hate posts on whatsapp, twitter and social media were branded as anti-india and i genuinely believed that too. Oposition was dumbstruck and unable to criticize. 

Middle class secretly expecting all their rich friends will dump their cash in their accounts-it didnt happen, expected the rich and powerful will be in trouble- it didnt happen, expected their taxes and loan EMIs will go down- it did'nt happen, expected a miracle to happen- did'nt happen. 

Many of our wives who never went to ATM volunteered to do so as they require the cash most for daily chores, myself tried to avoid standing in queues at ATMs but ultimately had to join the brigade once cash exhausted, the mixed feeling of a pauper, saint, sinner all erupted. 

One month down  the line opposition parties suddenly felt at last they can demolish modi as he made a self goal, modi's body language also changed, his party cadres expressed concerns about the decision and erosion of public support in private.

What lies ahead?- India being so big, so populated, so corrupt, politics and politicians so filthy, rich and powerful so powerful, the belief that nothing can ever change in india is coming back,  the feeling that we are once again fooled by the cartel is coming back again.
