chalte chalte

chalte chalte: I saw this 1976 movie for the first time when i was in class II and seven years old.I saw it during Ganesha festival. The festival organizers used to show many movies on main road at night. We used to sit on the road and saw many Hindi and Marathi movies. What i remembered was the song chalte chalte. In later years chalte chalte song came back to my life again and again in chitrahar(doordarshan) and on other channels in later years. Initially when i was 12 i felt the hero was Dev Anand, when i was 13 i felt he is Vijay anand(brother of Dev anand) and when i was 14 i used to bet that the hero was Kirankumar(son of legendary bollywood villain Jeevan) and when i was 16 i felt he is some actor from punjabi movies or a cousin of Rajendranath(bollywood comedian). Thanks to internet and google i zeroed down the name of the hero as VISHAL ANAND  (cousin of Dev Anand).
I always got entertained by looking at the way Vishal Anand acted. His eyes were deadly leading to burst of laughter.
I loved the songs though especially chalte chalte  and pyar me kabhi kabhi.

Long live Vishal Anand!

Instagram is a free photo sharing program which allows users to take a photo, apply a digital filter to it, and then share it on a variety of social networking services.Facebook acquired Instagram (with its 13 employees) for approximately $1 billion in cash and stock in April 2012, with plans to keep it independently managed. It is like a rags to riches story wherein the company grew from $500 to $1 billion.

Gangs of Wasseypur vs Gangs of New York

We all love Anurag kashyap for gulaal, devd, blackfriday. Somehow it made me go down memory lane and recall martin scorsese’s epic movie Gangs of New York  and compare with Anurag Kashyap’s forthcoming movie Gangs of Wasseypur. Is it a tribute to Martin Scorsese’s Gangs of New York or the similarity ends with name? Both the movies have gangwar and revenge as the base plot taking umbrage of history. Let us wait and watch. Is wasseypur going to be a hit or just critically acclaimed?
