Movie going has been an affair which most of the time leaves me unhappy. As if i went for lunch in a costly restaurant but something is missing in the food.Most of the time we movie buffs are taken for a ride with attractive promos and no script, no story, sloppy screenplay, recycled jokes but definitely dazzling sets.My wife says you go to various hotels, eat and then say food is not good, you see a movie and then say the movie is not good.

I was is for a surprise when i saw vidya balan starrer KAHAANI with no typical bollywood starcast.When we came out of the theatre we were discussing the story and characters which rarely happens nowadays.

After JHANKAAR BEATS director Sujoy Ghosh with KAHAANI HAS hit the jackpot.
Every character nuances are taken care of be it the radio of the child artist, the meaning of RUNNING HOT WATER in a shabby kolkata lodge, the arrogance of of a high ranking govt. officer( IB officer Khan), a software professional's (vidya balan's character)openness, intelligence, human side of policemen(kalighat police station policemen).
